The client
Eat Spain Drink Spain is a new initiative promoting the foods and drinks of Spain.
We created the ‘Eat Spain Drink Spain’ logo for the new initiative set up by the commercial arm of the Spanish embassy in order to promote the food and drink of Spain.
The logo uses a classic wine glass topped with a tapa, celebrating the iconic food and drink of the country.
The branding is being used to support the annual Spanish Wines Awards, and we have also designed the awards brochure which will be distributed across the country at tastings and events.
“We are very pleased with the logo for 'Eat Spain Drink Spain', it perfectly embodies in a simple, stylish way the whole campaign”Alison Dillon, Dillon Morrall PR

Leiths School of Food and Wine celebrates 40 years in style! |
By way of celebration Leiths are hosting a series of conversations with key players in the food industry; chefs, food writers, stylists and pioneers to reminisce about the last 40 years, discuss and even predict the next phase of the nation’s fascinating food journey.
Having designed a logo for the 40th birthday celebrations, they asked us to design and build a website to both promote the events and sell tickets. The solution was an elegant and simple one-page site (technically speaking it is a Craft CMS and Shopify integration). From conception to first ticket sale we had 48 hours but delivered with no problems!
If you are interested in food take a look at the first event, legends Pru Leith, Rick Stein and Yotam Ottolenghi are all speaking!

RSPB campaign to attract visitors to local reserves launched |
We worked closely with the team at Eastern England RSPB to design a hyper-local community engagement programme. The purpose of the project is to increase people’s engagement with both wildlife and their local reserve.
Hyper-local is a key element in the project, this campaign is targeted at just two different postcodes with a piece of highly actionable direct mail given to each child in the catchment school of that postcode.
The postcard tells the family exactly how far they are from their local reserve and gives them free entry for the children. The idea is that they visit the reserve, learn about how to create homes for nature and then go home and put some of those things into practice and put the window sticker in the window.
Gradually postcodes will fill up with window stickers and the bug hotels etc in the gardens will start to create green corridors! In essence we want to mobilise people to extend their local reserve into their own garden, school or community space.

A new brand for a brilliant shared reading project |
I loved taking part in the Writers' Centre Norwich 'Summer Reads' last year and had made a mental note to do it again this year, so I was delighted that Special were asked to rebrand the programme. The graphics, just like the programme are bold and exciting and ask the question, "Where will your next book take you?".
Click here to see more of the work.
I urge you to join thousands of other readers in a summer of shared reading - 6 books, 18 libraries, 65 events!
Melanie Kidd, Project Coordinator at WCN says:
“This year Brave New Reads is bigger than ever. We’re inviting readers across three counties to get involved in events at their local library. And anyone, anywhere can read the books and join the conversation online. Last year people joined in from as far away as Australia!”
